First Sunset of Spring 2024
Today the sun sets at 271°to the west. It is the first sunset of spring, 2024. Looking forward to a wonderful warm season ahead! Winter is behind us and thankfully, it was mild. Only 1 week of below 0° temperatures in mid January. It is believed that above average Pacific ocean water temperatures played a large role in the warm winter.
Spring Equinox Sunset 2024
The sun set due west at 271° in this pic taken Tuesday evening, 3-19-24. The spring equinox occurred 3 hours later at 10:06pm.
Oceanarium Skyline March 15, 2024
Looking west northwest, you can see a nice view of the Oceanarium at the Shedd Aquarium. The bright sunshine and an on shore breeze from the northeast helps give the lake water a bright green appearance.
Chicago Skyline March 15, 2024
The Chicago skyline looks nice and vibrant today. Clear skies and that bright sunshine makes the view enjoyable.
