Nick took a European trip in March of 1999 with Simeon, where the music scene in London provided them fresh look into the scene. By early 2000, Nick and Simeon were moving along, exploring even more different styles of electronic music. House was always popular, as its roots were in neighboring Chicago for them. In January 2000, Nick clearly remembers when his friend Jason introduced him to DJ Tiësto's music. A road trip to Toronto, Canada in March 2000, where he and his friends frequented the GUVERNMENT. DJ Mark Oliver was impressive. He kept the crowd dancing until 8:00am. DJ Rayando was quickly attracted to this new style of music in May of 2000 as well, and took a liking to the entire scene in which this involved. Nick quickly built up his collection of Tiesto style music, and quickly liked the styles of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Timo Maas, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Talla 2XLC, Marco V, DJ Montana, DJ Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyk. Kismuth completed close to a dozen turntable and CD mixes since 1998.
