DJ Kismuth [Nick Liveris] was born in 1979. Since then, his father Randy always helped him pursue a fascination for electronics, video and television. In 1990, at the age of 11, Nick took to an interesting hobby in video production. In 1992, his knowledge grew to the point where he could be hired to produce small video projects for people. Over the years, he gained knowledge and purchased more and more equipment for making videos more professional. In 1996, Nick took to a strong interest in electronic music to go with his videos. Back in 1996, Nick was into the mainstream popular dance tracks, as well as the popular 'Booty-House' music styles of TooKoolChris. Eventually, by 1998, Nick's interest in electronic music moved to the more professional style of dance music found mainly in Europe. Popular artists like BT, Sash!, ATB, Fire & Ice, Happy Hardcore, Paul Van Dyk, Underworld, and Faithless were among some Nick's favorite artists back in 1998. With the advent of computer assisted CD writing, Nick and DJ Simeon were able to mass produce their own mixes to the public. In late 1998, while in their first year of college, Nick and Simeon were able to take advantage of mp2 and mp3 technology to sample and download the newest dance music available at the time.

Nick took a European trip in March of 1999 with Simeon, where the music scene in London provided them fresh look into the scene.  By early 2000, Nick and Simeon were moving along, exploring even more different styles of electronic music. House was always popular, as its roots were in neighboring Chicago for them. In January 2000, Nick clearly remembers when his friend Jason introduced him to DJ Tiësto's music.  A road trip to Toronto, Canada in March 2000, where he and his friends frequented the GUVERNMENT.  DJ Mark Oliver was impressive.  He kept the crowd dancing until 8:00am.

DJ Rayando was quickly attracted to this new style of music in May of 2000 as well, and took a liking to the entire scene in which this involved.

Nick quickly built up his collection of Tiesto style music, and quickly liked the styles of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Timo Maas, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Talla 2XLC, Marco V, DJ Montana, DJ Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyk.  Kismuth completed close to a dozen turntable and CD mixes since 1998.

Kismuth began to perform in clubs in Detroit, such as "Club O2," which drew a very large crowd who loved trance. Kismuth continues to spin at many parties and events while at home in Chicago.  Kismuth graduated from Columbia College in 2005 with a degree in Film & Video.
